No crockpot needed! This delicious recipe is ready in an hour!

Let's Taco Bout It- Hurry Up Chicken Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced)

  • 1 medium onion (diced)

  • 1 tbsp Pamela's Apothecary Let's Taco Bout It

  • 2 tbsp Chili-O (c) chili seasoning or your favorite brand of Chili mix

  • 1 large can (32 oz) of either tomato sauce, puree, or strained (choose your favorite)

  • 1 can kidney beans (optional)

  • 1 sm can green chilis (diced or minced)

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. *Brown the chicken with about half of the Taco 'Bout It seasoning blend

  2. Peel and finely chop the garlic. (I use a really cool rolling chopper I got here) add to the chicken while it's browning.

  3. Dice the onions, add to the chicken.

  4. Add about 1/2 tsp salt to the pot.

  5. Once the meat is brown and the onions and garlic are fragrant and shiny, add the green chilis and beans (if you are using them).

  6. Add the rest of the Taco blend and the chili seasoning

  7. Let simmer about 10 mins.

  8. Add the entire container of tomato product.

  9. Let simmer for about 45 mins. Taste to see if salt is to your liking.

  10. Serves 4 easily

Serve with shredded taco cheese, sour cream and green onions on top.

*If you decide to make this with ground beef, brown and drain the meat before adding the seasoning blend.)

I chose strained tomatoes for my recipe. Makes for a thick and delicious sauce.

Hiya! Would you be willing to try mixing up a blend of chili seasoning? I love chili mixes, but hate all the junk they put in there!
