When to use it: These herbs have components that are particularly helpful during cold and flu season, that support the immune system so it can recover from the impact of seasonal threats. They may also help to shorten the duration of an illness. We suggest drinking this tea at the first sign of any tickle in the throat, sniffles, or over all un-wellness, and through out the duration of illness.
All herbs used in this blend are organic.
What's in the blend?
lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), chamomile (Matricaria recutita), rose petals (Rosa centifolia), uva ursi (Arctostaphylos uva ursi), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
Suggested dose: Drink to 2-3 cups/day Take a 1 week break, after 5 days.
Directions: Use one heaping teaspoon of herbs for each 8 oz cup of water. Place herb in tea infuser, pour boiling water in the cup and let the herbs steep (covered) 8-10 minutes. Sweeten if desired. Can be drank iced.
Caution: safe for kids over age 2; stop using lemon balm at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery; Lemon balm may change thyroid function, reduce thyroid hormone levels, and interfere with thyroid hormone replacement therapy. Avoid Uva Ursi if pregnant or nursing. Use caution if you are hypoglycemic.
